The Graduate Hotels is a chain of collegiate themed hotels. With 36 properties around the world, from California to the UK, The Graduate creates incredible experiences for people visiting college towns. Embodying the local spirit of each location, every property is 1 of a kind, custom built head to toe with deep cut references and nods to campus traditions. Along with Chandelier Creative, I art directed and designed a tome to the quirky charm of each one of The Graduates unique campuses. After completing the book, published by Rizzoli, The Graduate commissioned me to create a custom typeface for their ever evolving brand, to be used on their website, social media, collateral and around their properties. Inspired by classic collegiate typography, I designed and developed a variable typeface that flexes from a standard weight, all the way up to a bulky, heavy hitting headline style font.
